Our History

 

Daniel Achille B. J., son of Bernard Ceuppens and Annie Van Campenhout, was born in Belgium
in 1940. At the age of 8 he migrated to Paraguay with his family and other Belgian families, first
arriving in C apitán Miranda, Department of Itapúa, and finally settling in a dairy farm in Fernando
de la Mora, Central Department.
Don Daniel, a dairy farmer and small chicken farmer from Fernando de la Mora, delivered milk
in Asunción. In 1963, he met his future wife, Doña Blanca Talavera Spinzi, through their mutual
interest in poultry farming. Doña Bl anca was dedicated to incubating fertile eggs in a small
incubator with a capacity of 100 eggs and raising chickens, as a hobby, in her own home on
Mariscal Lopez Avenue in the capital of the country.
A year later, Doña Blanca and Don Daniel joined their lives, settled on a farm bought on credit in
Capiatá and gave a modest start to what would later become Granja Avícola La Blanca, a pioneer
in Paraguay’s poultry industry. At that time, chicken consumpti on was limited to holidays, and
those who did not have p oultry in their homes or weekend farms bought them in a small business
located in Asunción, and then slaughtered them at home.
Since 1967, with breeding,
growing, and processing on a larger scale, our chickens rea ched the
tables of Paraguayan families, restaurants, and markets under the PECHUGON brand. With
experience, perseverance and implementation of state of the art technology, the company grew
to become the only Paraguayan company with the complete production cycle: breeding farms,
hatcheries, broiler farms, feed processing plants and quality control laboratory.

working in the dairy farming industry, creating the SAPROCAL company with its brand “L A
PRADERA “. Today, the three daughters of the Ceuppens Talavera couple: Ana, Blanca and Violeta
continue w ith the poultry business, seeking to faithfully maintain the legacy of their parents and
the excellence of their work.
PECHUGON, with a
history of more than five decades in the Paraguayan poultry industry, is a
national reference brand that has the “Coun try Brand” License Certificate from REDIEX Paraguay.
It is also the first Paraguayan poultry company with FSSC 22000 Certification (Food Safety System
Certification), the highest level of Food Safety and Security requirements, which enables is to
export to more than 30 countries in Asia, Africa, Europe, Central America, and the Caribbean.

CERTIFICATION AND PROCESSES

In the slaughter plant, the HACCP program has been implemented, which stands for: Risk Analysis and Critical Control Points, which is a preventive system that allows the identification of specific hazards and measures for their control in order to guarantee quality. of the products.

Since 2003 LA BLANCA S.A. Poultry Farm has considered essential the development of this program for the efficient management of production processes and the maintenance of high levels of quality, in order to deliver the best and tastiest chicken to the consumer.

La Blanca Poultry Farm (PECHUGON), also has the implementation of the ISO 9001 Certification, which is an international standard that focuses on all the elements of quality management that a company must have in order to have an effective system that Allows you to manage and improve the quality of your products or services.

These certifications demonstrate Pechugon’s commitment and policy to offer high-quality products made with standardized processes, ensuring international controls.

Rearing Farms and Breeding Farms: This cycle begins with the importation of breeding chicks that are raised in BREEDING FARMS until they are 23 weeks old. From there they are transferred to the REPRODUCTIVE FARMS where from 25 weeks they begin to produce fertile eggs.

Incubators and Broiler Farms: In the INCUBATORS, the eggs remain for 18 days under strict control of temperature, humidity and sterility conditions. Then they are transferred to HATCHERS where they remain for 3 more days. After hatching, the chicks are vaccinated and sent TO THE BROILER FARMS where they are raised under biosecurity, management and proper feeding standards.

Feed Plant: The feed plant is made from corn, soy, soy PELET, vitamins and amino acids that provide the birds with a healthy and natural growth. This diet also provides Pecugón chickens with tender, consistent and excellent-tasting meat.

Slaughtering plants: After between 38 and 40 days of age, the chickens are transferred to the SLAUGHTERING PLANTS and food processor, where ready-to-eat chicken meat is obtained in different presentations.

Laboratories: THE QUALITY CONTROL LABORATORY controls the entire production cycle, including bromatological analysis of the feed raw material, microbiological analysis of water and effluents, physicochemical analysis (external) and microbiological analysis of surfaces and meat.

ENVIRONMENT

The Pechugon are raised with the philosophy of “In Tune with the Environment” on farms surrounded by greenery and fresh air, artisanally raised with the necessary time for their development and growth, based on a 100% natural nutritional system.

Farmers and Professionals jealously ensure compliance with the strict biosafety conditions. The birds receive care, just as nature dictates and without violating environmental regulations.
